Digital Revolution

Life is constantly evolving. New inventions, new fashions, new lingo, basically a revolution that never stays the same.

Where am I going with this? Well I read the article: A New Media Tells Different Stories by Bruno Giussani. Bruno Giussani expressed the evolving world of journalism. Basically print versus the web.

One thing that really jumped out at me was that change is constantly happening, and in this day and age one can not be ignorant to learning more. It can not only be seen as learning more, but can be viewed as growth of the human mind. A little intellectual, I know. I am specifically speaking of the world of technology.

As a youth it is easier to catch on to the latest functions of technology and the digital medium. Change is constantly gruelled into our lives, if we don’t upgrade in our lifestyle then one could say, “that is so like, a month ago”. Which has a bearing on self image and self esteem, but I will save that discussion for another time.

Anyway back to this digital revolution, change and learning capabilities.

Bruno Giussani discussed the most effective means of journalism and that no matter whether one likes picking up the newspaper in a cafĂ© or not, the way of the future is the internet. It is accessible anywhere which enables kiwi’s on there OE to keep in touch with their homeland, their grassroots.

“www”, the World Wide Web. In effect the internet scales down the vastness of the world. Your best friend or family member on the other side of the world is only a click away.

Even though people in this day and age may not like change, it is vital. I feel sorry for the older generation, as for them it is harder to catch on. As the saying goes…it is like teaching an old dog new tricks.

If it wasn’t for change and geniuses in the world we would still be writing letters opposed to emails. A big THANK YOU to the brains in this world.

So maybe this digital revolution isn’t so bad. I know that I am willing to take a dive in the internet surf and see what waves I can catch.

Glad to hear that you're willing to dive in!

I agree totally that change is the new constant and that the internet changes everything about the way news/stories are found, published and read/watched/heard.

Makes it a great time to be getting into the business - there's fun to be hand trying new ideas and exploring what's around online.
