Essays….presentations…..publications….tests…..=life five weeks ago.
Now it is time to get back into the process of study. No more sleep ins. No more bumming around. No more partying….whoops did I say that? Partying never stops in student life, right?
So far being back has been a bit of a killer. The whole commuting thing from the flat by the beach to suburbia is a bit of a mission.
Made the first class; Web Media. Web Media is interesting as it has given me a new perspective on blogs. I for one have never really been much of a web surfer or internet fanatic; it is something that tests my patients!
However, I was reading part of Mark Briggs book where he states that if you want to learn how to do something, you will be able to achieve it. So I am saying that I want to learn the ways of the web, how to be creative and most importantly make life in cyber space a little easier and efficient. Good things take time; a little frustrating however but life was never meant to be easy. If it was, I think there would be an element of complacency as there would be nothing around challenging people resulting in the transforming and changing of ones life.

I understand what you mean about web media class changing perspectives on blogs.
I'm still struggling with it but I see the value of them now.
Great to see that you're going into this with an open mind. I really like what Janet Murray says about this:
…in a participatory medium, immersion implies learning to swim, to do the things that the new environment makes possible.
You just have to jump in, relax and... you'll float!
